YouTube Hack Defaces Popular Music Videos 


Hackers find it fascinating to hack on giants and corporations. At the most recent form of hacks, many movies on YouTube have been defaced and then removed.

One of them was among the most well-known movies, Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito”. The movie’s thumbnail has been altered, revealing a set of masked individuals holding firearms. The description was changed from the hackers, calling themselves Prosox and Kuroi’sh.

As stated before, the movie was removed, however, based on The Verge and BBC, additional defaced videos nevertheless remain at large. These include music videos from artists like Shakira, Selena Gomez, Drake, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Katy Perry and DJ Snake.

YouTube Hack Popular Music + VEVO

The affected videos were uploaded to the artists’ Vevo YouTube accounts.


It is uncertain if the hackers violated individual artists’ accounts if it had been an exploit impacting Vevo accounts generally. Among the hackers has promised to have used a script to alter the videos.
