HORSE RACING ALSO GOT SOME UGLY TRUTHS
There are basically three sorts of individuals in horse racing. There are the law breakers who dangerously dignified or generally mishandle their stallions. Or who face such lead from their specialists, and who at that point set out the business to come get them. At that point there are the hoodwinks who work under the dream. That the game is extensively reasonable and legit. Also, there are those masses in the center—neither trusting nor miscreants but instead respectable souls. Who know the business is more slanted than it should be. However who still don’t do whatever they can to settle the issue.
The main classification, the cheaters, are a little, non broken minority still sufficiently extensive to recolor the respectability of the game for every other person. The second classification, the innocents, additionally a little gathering, are pretty much miserable—in the event that they haven’t made sense of at this point they are being wronged they probably never will. So it is from the third class of horsemen and horsewomen, the dreadfully noiseless dominant part, the great individuals who see wrong yet won’t give their everything to right it, where genuine change must come if the game is to survive and flourish.
They don’t aim to offer salvation to the unholy or to rouse the ignorant from their sleep. They speak directly instead to the many good and honest people in horse racing whose consciences are still in play. And they say to those respectable people, in essence,
You are fooling only yourself if you think the whole world isn’t aware of and disgusted by what nasty business you allow to go on inside your sport.
If the sport cannot find a way to rid it of a culture that abides all of this it not only won’t survive—it won’t deserve to survive.
