Transgender are the ones that people think as not a part of the nation. But we are wrong here with this aspect of society. It’s not about voters are the ones having specific gender as male or female only but all those people living in a country and are born there. CNIC is the major part of our identity that makes us separate as male or female but due to lack of education and society discrimination transgender never got any identity.
CNIC is Honor for every Gender:
But now, with the passage of time, Transgender is also assigned as sex. And this change brings as issuing CNIC to the transgender of nation and giving them apart to vote tomorrow.
It’s always an honor to be in a free country but when it comes to being a part of it as how? We can only say that YES our vote matters. And here issuing this gender with CNIC is the ever best act by the Punjab Chief Secretary. Now even they can vote and stand with us in a row known to be as Pakistani.
CNIC issued to all or not?
In Punjab, the total number of transgender registered by the department is 6,709. Whereas among them, 2961 got their CNIC cards. That’s a huge progress by the social welfare. The remaining ones will get it very soon by the welfare.
Supreme Court Order over CNIC:
A proper committee was established at the provincial level to implement the process as soon as possible as the order from SC. This committee will speed up the work process and issue the CNIC to all the transgender present in Pakistan.
Other provinces will start issuing after a detail discussion and in a seminar.
